Q. What are some of the other characters in DOWN SOUTH?
A. Several minor characters have appeared throughout the cartoons:
Bubba Snopes - the greasy redneck mechanic who appeared in the first cartoon published in the July 2007 issue of Y'all Magazine. He appears later in the August 8, 2008 strip and is a rough, but well-meaning fellow who manages to run "Bubba's Towing Garage" along with a small town restaurant.
Preacher Vardamann - what would the Bible Belt be without a firey preacher? He makes no bones about his dislike for northerners because "they come down h'ya an' won't go home!" He doesn't hate northerners; he just doesn't like them.
Topper - a polite, refined, gentel clothier who works at Brenamans Fine Clothiers. Topper is an uncompromising snob when it comes to proper clothing styles for men.
Ginger and Francine - Well, what can one say about two milk cows just trying to get through the day?
Q. When did DOWN SOUTH first appear in print?
A. DOWN SOUTH first appeared in the June 2007 issue of Y'all Magazine.
Q. How long have Gordon and Maude been married?
A. We don't know. Maude says forty years, although Gordon will try and tell you it seems more like a thousand.
Q. What the hell is gizzard goulash?
A. We don't know. And Mr. Enzweiler won't tell us. If you find out, would you let us know?
Q. Can I find "Down South" in any other publications?
A. No. Presently, DOWN SOUTH is published exclusively in Y'all Magazine and on its website at yall.com and yall-downsouth.com.
Q. This cartoon is great! Will there ever be a DOWN SOUTH book?
A. Eventually. But we have to find Mr. Enzweiler first. He was last seen photographing a kudzu forest near Nesbit, Mississippi. They found his hat and a shoe along side the road. But no Mr. Enzweiler as yet.
Q. Can I use DOWN SOUTH characters or images on my personal web site?
A.
